Often frowned upon, decaffeinated coffee can be absolutely delicious when done well. And that’s exactly our mindset when we source and roast our seasonal selection of decaf coffees. We believe they should be treated with the same respect as our other coffees and we’re on a mission to bring to you the cream of the crop.
Decaffeinated with the Mountain Water Process, this coffee was first grown and produced by Finca Nueva Linda in the southern state of Chiapas in Mexico. The large 600 hectares farm (only 140 is dedicated to coffee, the rest is part of a natural reserve called El Triunfo biosphere) is privately owned by Don Octavio Moguel Farrera, who spent his life working with coffee, starting as a driver in a nearby coffee farm as a young man. This washed coffee is a blend of different varieties cultivated at the farm (Mundo Novo, Catuai, Caturra and Catimor) and tastes massively of cane sugar and milk chocolate.
